Excellent hotel with great service. We stayed here with my family (who don't speak Portuguese) after our wedding. The staff were extremely friendly, the hotel was clean and well maintained and its well located in the town. Highly recommended.

Just had an amazing time here as a solo traveler at Pousada Porto Mare, it is very well located (right by all the bars and restaurants) as well as safe and relaxing. Even though I don’t speak Portuguese the staff (especially Paula at the front desk) was very accommodating and I was able to get everything I needed in order to have an enjoyable stay here in Maresias. The breakfasts here were especially incredible!

The staff were very attentive. The pool was great as was the area outside behind the restaurant. Great breakfast too. Nice rooms. We watched some DVDs in the comunal living room too. The only negative was that the sauna kept short circuiting the power and therefore was unusable.

The Pousada has a great location, 5 minutes walk to the beach in the second side road next to a few bars and small restaurants. The atmosphere is perfect - calm and relaxed. Breakfast is very good. The rooms spacious and nicely decorated. A backyard with pool and lots of vegetation rounds it up.
